Koffman Incubator Wins $50K at Growth Accelerator Competition

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) named the Koffman Southern Tier Incubator a Stage One winner of the 2024 Growth Accelerator Fund Competition. The $50,000 prize was awarded to the incubator for fostering inclusivity and collaboration in the national small business ecosystem and its work in supporting several small businesses to bring their ideas to market.

The winning initiative was Koffman’s Black Entrepreneur Network (BEN). Through its platform, the BEN promotes impactful connections and advocacy to help advance black-owned companies in all stages of development within the Southern Tier of New York.

Executive Director of the Koffman, Bandhana Katoch, shared that “creating a community that is accessible and supportive is the very key to creating a sustainable ecosystem. BEN will be a tremendous point of connection for businesses to find success by being an active member of the network and to discover new opportunities and partnerships that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise”.

Stage Two of the Growth Accelerator Partnerships offers an additional $50,000 and $150,000 in cash prizes. To learn more, visit https://www.americasseedfund.us/accelerators
