The Software Company in the Cornfield
March 9, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
The Software Company in the Cornfield: A conversation with Envisage Co-Founder Steff McGonagle about his experience growing a world-class technology company in rural upstate New York.
For those in need of inspiration, or just looking for a new perspective on the journey of entrepreneurship – we welcome you to join us as we speak with Steff McGonagle, CEO of Envisage Information Systems.
Steff started his career with a passion for agriculture and farming – and that has stayed with him even as he grew his small software company from 15 people in a cornfield to over 300 people, supporting one of the largest financial institutions in the US. The passion that he had for farming has been his ‘north star’, and has helped him stay focused on the strategic decisions that have helped the company scale. He will give you a behind-the-scenes view of what it feels like to take big bets, create raving fans, build a family-oriented culture as well as share some of the highs and lows of owning his own business.
There will also be an informal Q&A session where you can ask more specific questions of Steff or his business.
We hope you leave with renewed inspiration for pursuing your own personal ‘north star’.
The Southern Tier Startup Alliance (STSA) is teaming up with SCOPED to hold this event in Schuyler County specifically designed for current and aspiring entrepreneurs.
