SUNY BEST

March 2, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

112 years separate the birth of the City of Binghamton and the formation of what would later become Binghamton University. Today they are more intertwined than ever.

One definition of a college town is one where the university population dominates that of its host city, but it’s more than that. A college town is one where the university population and local population work together to make their area more prosperous for all. We find ourselves wondering how to maintain the charm and soul of our area that earned us the name “The Valley of Opportunity” all while changing from the influence of an over-growing, world-class university.

Hear what the area mayors have to say about town-grown relations.

College Town features Mayor Rich David (City of Binghamton), Mayor Greg Deemie (Village of Johnson City) and Mayor John Bertoni (Village of Endicott).

This is event is organized by SUNY BEST – State University of New York Business and Education, Cooperative of the Southern Tier.

Sponsors include #76West and StartFarm.
