The Cornell Center for Materials Research (CCMR) is holding spring events for faculty, students and large and small businesses to network, discuss potential collaborations and learn how the CCMR can facilitate access to Cornell materials experts and equipment:
Join the Symposium sponsors: FEI, Corning, Electron Microscopy Sciences (EMS), Gatan, TESCAN and Nion and attend the 2016 CCMR Symposium “Novel characterization methods: Advances in Electron Microscopy!”
The Symposium is led by Professors Lena Kourkoutis and David Muller, Applied and Engineering Physics.
With the help of Profs Kourkoutis and Muller, the CCMR has invested in new analytical capabilities available to industry users:
Prof. Kourkoutis’ work to advance existing and develop new electron microscopy techniques was recently recognized by the Office of Science and Technology Policy in the Executive Office of the President. Lena received a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, the highest honor bestowed by the U.S. government on science and engineering professionals in the early stages of their careers.
