The Souther Tier Startup Alliance knows just how great our region is for both businesses and residents, and we’re sharing our perspective with you. In this series, we’ve asked local businesses of all industries to tell us why they love living and working in the Southern Tier.
This week, we’re hearing from Charlie Mulligan of GiveGab. GiveGab is an online platform for fundraising and volunteer management. The company helps non-profits launch campaigns easily and stay connected with their donors and volunteers. Recently, GiveGab has gained great attention for all their successes with Days of Giving around the nation. Read on to learn by Charlie chose the Southern Tier:
“Ithaca is a great place for a startup. It’s a great place to live and work, we get fantastic talent from the three local colleges, there is a disproportionate amount of angel and VC funding for such a small town, and the local community really embraces startups and supports us in every way they can. Plus we have a small local airport with no lines and easy access to major hubs. We couldn’t have picked a better place!”
